Arrive at Delhi International airport. Upon arrival you will be met by our representative and transferred to hotel. Overnight at hotel. Day 02: Delhi Trip Breakfast at the hotel. Old Delhi - Visit the former centre of Moghul Power, Old Delhi offers ancient monuments, narrow streets and bustling bazaars. Visit the vast Red Fort, built in 1648, the Jama Masjid, the greatest mosque in India and completed in 1658 by Shah Jahan who also built the Taj Mahal, and the Raj Ghat, the simple memorial to Mahatma Gandhi. New Delhi - drive past the stately government
buildings of the British Era designed by Lutyens, including the India
Gate & the Presidential Palace. Continue onto the beautiful Humayun’s
tomb of the Mughal era & predecessor of the world famous Taj Mahal.
End the tour at the towering minaret of Qutab Minar Day 03: Delhi - Agra Tajmahal Trip After breakfast drive to Agra (203 km). Upon arrival in Agra - check into the hotel. Afternoon you will visit red fort and famous Taj Mahal. Visit TAJ MAHAL (Closed on Fridays) - located on the bank of Yamuna River, the most extravagant monument ever built for love. Little needs to be said about this architectural wonder which is always the soul raison-de-etre for every tourist's visit to Agra. Built by Shah Jahan, the Taj is a white marble memorial to his beautiful wife Mumtaz Mahal. This monument took 22 years to be completed and was designed and planned by Persian architect Ustad Isa. Apart from it's stunning design balance and perfect symmetry, the Taj is also noted particularly for its elegant domes, intricately carved screens and some of the best inlay work ever seen. Red Fort - lies on the bend of the river Yamuna, almost in the heart of the town. Akbar built it as his citadel over the years 1563-73 in the finest architectural style. It has imposing gates and walls of red sandstone and a moat. Overnight at hotel. Day 04: Agra - Jaipur After breakfast drive to Jaipur, en route visit Fatehpur Sikri. Fatehpur Sikri - It was founded in the year
1569 by the Mughal emperor Akbar to honor the Muslim saint Sheikh Salim
Chishti, who had foretold the birth of Akbar's son and heir, Jahangir.
The city was Akbar's capital until 1584. By 1605 it was largely deserted
because of the inadequate water supply. A masterpiece of Muslim architecture,
the city is unique in India as a nearly intact Mughal city. Jaipur, the pink city was founded in 1727 by Maharaja Jai
Singh II, a Kachhawah Overnight at hotel. Day 05: Jaipur Tour Packages Breakfast at the hotel. Tour of the Pink City - Your tour will include the imposing City Palace, still home to the Maharaja although several of the rooms are now open to the public. Many antiques and artefacts belonging to the ruling family are housed here, including a collection of weaponry. You will also visit the Hawa Mahal, "Palace of the Winds", and the open-air Jantar Mantar Observatory to see the vast astronomical instruments. Enjoy a stroll through the colourful bazaar before returning to your hotel. Overnight at hotel. Late morning drive to Pushkar. Pushkar means born due to a flower. In Hindu mythology it is said that the gods released a swan with a lotus in its beak and let it fall on earth where Brahma would perform a grand yagna. The place where the lotus fell was called Pushkar. It is situated 14 Km from Ajmer and is one of the five sacred dhams (pilgrimage sites for devout Hindus.) It is often called "Tirth Raj" - the king of pilgrimage sites - and has in recent years become a popular destination for foreign tourists. In the afternoon you will enjoy the city tour of Pushkar Day 07: Pushkar - Ajmer - Delhi Morning drive to Ajmer (15 Km) Upon arrival in Ajmer,
straight proceed for city tour. The Emperor Shah Jehan's white marbles
pavilions are in a delightful park on the east banks of the man-made Ana
Sagar Lake. Afternoon transfer to railway station for train to Delhi.
Overnight at the hotel. Day 08: Delhi - Abroad Today you will be transferred to the airport in time to connect your flight for onward destination.
